Sixth Grade Advice

Sixth grade is fun and easy however, the first couple of days can be tough. On my first day I lost my schedule so I was scared that I would go to the wrong class but I went to the office and they gave me a new one so I was good. My first advice would be to pay attention to what the teacher is saying and don’t get off topic because they just might call on you for the answer. My second advice is to get to class on time.

I’ve once gotten lost in class so I got the question wrong so after that I stopped getting lost in class and payed more attention. In band the first couple of days I played the wrong notes but Mr. Steele helped me play the right note because some of the notes on a French Horn are really hard so I would mess up a lot but now I can play all the notes and they are pretty easy now thanks to all the band directors help. We now we are playing in concerts and competitions.

Always remember to bring all of your stuff and do your work on time because if you don’t then you could get a zero then have to stay after school and you don’t want to do that. Classes this year are a lot different than 5th because in 5th grade you have the same class mates the entire day but in 6th you have different classmates throughout the day.

I really like 6th grade because you have more freedom than 5th grade like at lunch you get to pick where you sit there are six seats at each table and if you ask then you can sit outside and you get early lunch every other two
weeks. I really like 6th grade but the first day is tough but you will get used to it after a couple of days.
